First Time Flying with Emirates and Dubai Airport

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

It was my first time flying Emirates and happy sangat masa dapat tahu our flight from KUL - IST was scheduled to be with Emirates. Since it is known as the strongest airline worldwide, I was curious to know how does it feel like flying with them.

Alhamdulillah, the day came, so I boarded the flight and transit di Dubai for 6 hours. Masa transit, saya spent the time di area connecting as our final and next destination is Istanbul.

Emirates Airlines

My first impression, seat besar and the overall interior looks new. First leg saya duduk area aisle, masa balik dapat window seat. Fuh, memang superb selesa ya! Flight clean and packed tapi paling best, lavatory tip top!

Dapat juga tengok crew Emirates yang pakai cap merah ala-ala Arabian tu. Hampir all flights (KUL - DXB, DXB - IST and DXB - KUL), saya mintak stewardess untuk capture free polaroid photo (walaupun complimentary for kids only well, I just braced it) sebagai kenangan di darat gitu haha.

Makanan pula memang sedap and pelbagai. Saya masih teringat-ingat milkcake nya. Tak sempat nak lelap mata dah ditanya "coffee or tea?"

In-flight entertainment pula ada macam-macam options tapi saya tak ada preferences, so I did not really make full use of the seat's screen.

Maybe next time flying, saya nak try request tomato juice sebab orang cakap tomato juice dalam flight, at that altitude, rasa sedap and can help ease your guts?

Dubai Airport

6 jam transit nak tengok Burj Khalifa pun tak sempat. Masa transit from KUL, saya masih semangat nak berjalan sebab masih ada energy. Sampai je Dubai Airport, terus tag hand carry, jalan from end to end.

Currency UAE pakai AED. Di Malaysia, saya tukar sikit sebagai habuan ada cash di tangan, just in case card decline ke kan. Last-last cash tak pakai pun, mostly pakai Bigpay and credit card saja, tap-tap sampai tak sedar diri 😆

Saya ambil peluang untuk cuci mata tengok barang-barang di duty free area. Jam, jewelleries, barang-barang high-end memang boleh nangis eh tengok harganya.

Satu sebab mahal but comparatively actually is reasonable. On top of that, ada design-design goods yang rare! Saya sempat beli seutas jam tangan dan a few perfumes untuk dibawa balik ke Malaysia.

Every purchase perlu scan boarding pass.

Tak lupa juga kenangan minum chaai AED 21 di Project Chaiwala. Kononnya nak rasa vibe Dubai minum teh panas yang ada herbs seperti buah pelaga. Truly "Habibi, Welcome to Dubai."
